Allegent Community Federal Credit Union respects the personal and financial privacy of all its members.

We are committed to protecting the information on and within our website with the same safety and confidentiality standards utilized in the transaction of all Allegent Community Federal Credit Union (“Allegent CFCU”) business.

We do not sell, rent, or provide any member information to any list services or non-credit union affiliated agencies.


Personal Information

Personal information refers to any information about you that is personally identifiable to you.

Your telephone number, name, address, and transaction history are examples of information that pertain to you personally.


Children

Allegent CFCU websites and mobile applications are not directed to children and do not knowingly collect information from children.


Access

Allegent CFCU does not maintain a process which allows visitors to review and request changes to any of his or her personally identifiable information, including information that is collected on the website or our online service.

Retention and Destruction

Allegent CFCU retains personally identifiable information as long as necessary to provide the products and services for which the information was collected, to process and maintain a record of transactions, and as long as necessary for legal process or to satisfy government retention requirements.

When the retention period expires, Allegent CFCU destroys data that was maintained in any form in a manner that renders it completely unusable and incapable of restoration.


Website

The amount and type of information we receive depends on how the site is utilized:

Website only users:

Members can visit Allegent Community Federal Credit Union’s website to read valuable information or use the online tools without revealing their identity or personal information.

The only information we collect and store during website only usage is non-personal information for the express purpose of tracking website usage in order to improve design, service, and/or site navigation tools.

Online Banking, Bill Pay, and Online Application users:

Nonpublic personal information may be collected when a credit union member has registered to use Allegent Community Federal Credit Union’s secure online banking services from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from you on applications or other forms

  • Information about your transactions with us or others

  • Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency

  • Email and electronic information sources online forms and applications that allow completion and online submission will only be executed in a secured site environment. Personal information provided by a user via any of Allegent Community Federal Credit Union’s forms is used only to process the member’s request for service.


Interruption of Service

At certain times, the Allegent Community Federal Credit Union website may not be available due to system maintenance or circumstances beyond our control. We make every effort to maximize availability of our system.


Service Providers

We use third parties to provide online banking, bill pay, consumer loan applications and loan decision on our site. When a member signs up for these services, we will share nonpublic personal information as necessary for the third party to provide that service.

These third parties are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose.


Email

Members choosing to send an email to the credit union with questions or comments should be aware that any information attached to that email address, such as name or workplace, will be revealed to employees of Allegent Community Federal Credit Union.

It is our pledge, however, that when our members communicate with us via email, we will use their email information only for the specific purpose of responding to their comments or questions.

Allegent CFCU will not sell our members’ email addresses, nor share our members’ email addresses with any other third parties.

E-mails are not considered a secure method of contact and customers should never reveal any sensitive information through email such as their account number or Social Security number.


Cookies

A secure cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer to help recognize the computer used to access a website.

The Allegent CFCU website does not use cookies. However, if a member uses online banking and chooses to “Remember This Computer,” a cookie will be stored on the PC during login which lets the member bypass their personalized security questions whenever online banking is accessed in the future.

The secure cookie will periodically expire on the computer and will require the member to reset the cookie.

Cookies cannot be used to capture your email address, obtain data from your hard drive or gain confidential or sensitive information about you.

Additionally, cookies cannot be read by a website other than the one that set the cookie. Some websites, however, use cookies to obtain information from your browser.

You can set your browser to notify you before accepting a cookie, so that you can control whether you accept or reject a cookie.

Allegent Community Federal Credit Union may solicit personal information from members on a voluntary basis.

This information will be used for a specific promotion or to enable the credit union to contact members with additional information about our products and services.

The effective date of this policy is provided above. Any updates or changes to the policy will be posted on this website with the new revision date, which is the effective date of changes.
